Keeping the Interview Between Candidates and Hiring Managers

Proctorious encrypts collected interview recordings and doesn't require additional personally-identifiable information beyond what is required by your hiring platform. We aim to mimic the in-person interview environment as closely as possible.

Install & Run

Candidates download and install the Proctorious desktop application, then launch it to begin their interview process.

Grant Permissions

The app requests screen recording and accessibility permissions to properly proctor the interview. After granting permissions, the app restarts automatically.

Authenticate

Candidates enter their name and one-time use code (provided via email by your organization) to verify their identity and access the interview.

Complete Interview

Interview questions are displayed in the main window. A small camera preview window appears in the top-right corner showing live webcam feedback. Both screen and camera are recorded throughout.

End & Upload

Candidates click "End Interview" when finished (this can only be done once, ensuring completion). Recordings are automatically encrypted and uploaded to your secure storage.

Review

Organization-approved hiring managers review the encrypted recordings at their convenience. Candidates are notified they'll hear back soon.
